The Children of Liberty, maintaining the integrity of both our founding fathers and the Great American Experiment outlined in the Constitution, hold these five principles in highest regard. Through our thoughts, words and actions, in every aspect of our lives, these shall be our guiding principles.
To reclaim God in our lives, and in so doing, secure His place at the center of our country's social and political conscience. Natural law is the basis of our liberties, and we have a moral obligation to protect America's Divine providence.
A society that does not respect life is doomed to failure. We will respect all human life, and promote the right to life from conception to death.
Living by the rule of law not man, and with respect for justice that must be blind and apply to all, we respect the Constitution as written and revere it as the greatest set of governing principles ever written.
Only limited government can allow for Natural law. We must vigilantly defend against those who would expand our government, or discredit our country's free market principles.
Personal and fiscal responsibilities are the foundation of freedom. We value personal and fiscal responsibility and demand the same from our representatives.
We must always remember what John Adams wrote,
"But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever."
John Adams, letter to Abigail Adams, July 17, 1775

You will find that I am very easy going and open to nearly anything.

Happiness is a state of mind or feeling characterized by contentment, satisfaction, pleasure, or joy. Happiness comes from deep within, and not from people, situations, or circumstances.
According to Researchers from Harvard Medical School and the University of California, San Diego:
"When an individual becomes happy, the network effect can be measured up to three degrees. One person's happiness triggers a chain reaction that benefits not only his friends, but his friends' friends, and his friends' friends' friends. The effect lasts for up to one year."
Since whatever we focus on grows, the aim of this group is to help members focus on happiness and to spread it at every opportunity.
If you are a happy person and want to socialize and network with other happy people, this is for you. If your goal is to become a happier person this group is for you. If you want to contaminate others with your happiness, this group is definitely for you. Visit http://iamhappyproject.org for more information; while you are there please follow us on twitter and like us on Facebook.

If you want to live a more fulfilled life, first you will want to know your potential, who you really are. Meditation is the route to that knowing. It is the methodology of the science of awareness.
Many meditative techniques require one to sit still and silent. But for most of us accumulated stress in our bodymind makes that difficult. Before we can hope to access our inner powerhouse of consciousness, we need to let go of our tensions.
Osho Active Meditations have been scientifically designed by Osho over a period of time to enable us to consciously express and experience repressed feelings and emotions, and learn the knack of watching our habitual patterns in a new way.
Osho has designed various techniques for the modern society that are therapeutic and enlightening. Osho meditations, books and discourses merge eastern and western philosophy and cover many topics including: zen, yoga, kundalni, dance, breathwork, chakras, Tantra, Buddha, Jesus, Zorba, Gurdjieff, Sufi-ism, and so much more.
Come join us for fun in the wonderful world of Osho.
"Osho is an enlightened master who is working with all possibilities to help humanity overcome a difficult phase in developing conscuiousness." The Dalai Lama

Eight years ago I left behind the only way of life I'd ever known. A way of life that never allowed me to be a whole person. I was depressed and lonely and never knew it. One of the hardest things I ever did was to acknowledge that I had been living a lie. I was part of a powerful, mind controlling cult. Yes, the Jehovah's Witness organization is a cult. When I finally found freedom I reveled in the idea that my mind was now my own. I soon discovered that my world would not fall apart if the Watchtower was wrong. I have grown beyond the need for such a rigid, controlling structure and seek the freedom to think for myself and not to just trust someone else's judgment. I now understand that "God's organization" is a human organization. The human failings, mind control and manipulations have become more obvious as the years go by. Bad experiences with others in the organization along with the thought of living for eternity on a Watchtower-controlled earth, are all remnants of the past.......
This group is for anyone who needs support after leaving the Watchtower. Most people have no idea what we have been through or what we are going through now. Talking to others who truly understand can be very healing. If you can't make it to our group meet ups contact me online. Send me an email or find me on Facebook. Don't ever forget that you are not alone.
Lots of love, Candace

I decided to start this group because I truly believe that sales people can help each other to obtain new business. The purpose of this group is to learn each others products and services in order to benefit ourselves and our customers through networking. We are looking for any sales professionals or business owners who are calling on business to offer their product and services.
We love our group of moms!
Every mom is welcome as long as the group requirement can be met. We do require frequent activity on the message boards and at least 2 events a month be attended.
We try to have at least 20 (or more) meetups a month, so it's not hard to make it to 2. Most of them include the children, although we do have some that are just for "us".
Majority of our meetups are during the morning hours.. Between the hours of 9am-1pm... To allow time to put your little one down for a nap.
I hope you will love this group as much as I do.
Greetings Folks,
America became great, because Americans were virtuous. Are we virtuous today?
Do we take care of our neighbors? Do we even know our neighbors?
Jesus summed up the Ten Commandments with Two commandments, "Love the lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind" "Love your neighbor as yourself"
Hope, Faith and Charity through service. In order to become great again, Americans need to become virtuous.
Hope: Too many people have lost hope for a better life; they do not believe that their lives can be anymore than what they are now. They feel their lives are without purpose without meaning. They have no dreams, no goals. They don't have an understanding of how the past effects their present. They are stuck in neutral. Our current culture tells us that all that matters is now, the past is old news, the future… who has time to worry about it. We need to tie the past the preset and the future together. If we don't know the past, we don't understand the present, if we don't consider the future; we are stuck in the present and we have got to get what we can now, the future is irrelevant.
Faith: If there is no God and nothing outside of ourselves to live for, what incentive is there to be good? If all that matters is now and there is no judgment, no heaven or hell, why not cheat and steal? This is why I have always had a problem with Ayn Rand's "objectiveness" idea, I believe that while we are all individuals, if we do not believe there is something greater than ourselves; if we do not have faith we will not realize our fullest potential.
Charity: What greater gift can we give than our time, treasure and talents? As Jesus told his apostle's in Mark 7 "the poor will always be with you". Not just the monetary poor, but also those poor in hope and faith and we must reach out to them, helping to lift them up. It is not about a hand out but and hand up. It is our duty to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, give drink to the thirsty and comfort the sick. For too long we have abdicated these responsibilities to the governments and others, now is the time to accept these responsibilities for ourselves.
Service: the progressives and those that encourage larger and more controlling government have forgotten what JKF said in his inauguration speech, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." As a society we have become ME focused, it is all about me, me, me. Look at the OWS movement, it is all about I want this and I deserve this and I should not have to work for it. This is not what made our country great. Our founders did not risk their lives, fortunes and sacred honor so that they could make a buck. No, they did it because it was the right thing to do. they believed that our freedoms come from God and it is our responsibility to protect and fight for them.
We need to turn our focus to others in need; if we truly want small government then it is our personal responsibility to take care of our brothers and sisters when they hit hard times. Then we can tell the government they can keep their food stamps and WIC because we are helping each other.
The truth is there is darkness coming and we cannot defeat darkness with darkness. You must shine the Light on it and once exposed to the Light, the darkness will scatter. We cannot out evil the evil, out big the big or out slick the slick. Virtue beats evil, small beats big and honest beats slick. We need to become virtuous, small (local) and honest, then we can't lose. Freedom yearns in the heart of everyone; we just need to touch their hearts. People don't care what you know, until they know that you care.
You must be willing to leave your self-interest, ego and pride outside the door, this group is not about us, it is about Him and about shining His light to those that are mired in the darkness. We must show them that there is Hope, Faith and Charity and it all comes from service to others.
I am not sure where we go from here; I just know that this is the way I go.
Laus Deo

Humanism is a progressive philosophy of life that, without supernatural beliefs, affirms our ability and responsibility to lead ethical lives of personal fulfillment that aspire to the greater good of humanity.
The Humanist Society of Monroe - Michigan is a local community of people having a strong interest in or concern for human welfare, values, and dignity that is being formed to provide nonreligious people with the same opportunity for social interaction and community involvement that is often only available in religious societies.
Have you ever felt like you don't fit in at church? Or you felt a lack of fulfillment in your past church experiences? Have you been seeking answers and a spiritual home?
Unity offers practical, spiritual, teachings that empower abundant and meaningful living.
We provide a philosophy that is spiritual, not religious & love-based, not fear-based. We honor all paths to God. We believe in making a positive difference in the world. We believe in being a positive example and role model.
Everyone is welcome at all of our events. Sign Up for email reminders and never miss another meet up!
There are many organizations favoing or advocating progress, change, improvement or reform, especialliy in political matters. This is the one place where Progressives will find many, if not all, of the events posted.
Do you wonder why the world seems to be tottering on the brink of disintegration and collapse?
Our material world systems upon which many have based their identities, raisons d'etre, and world views have failed. This includes economic systems from communism to capitalism to the "free trade" cult, political ideologies, even the "shop 'til you drop" lifestyle is now recognized as a source of many societal problems, not just an innocent past-time. All these "false gods" have left us feeling bereft.
The major religions also seem in disarray and unable to answer modern questions. Many religious adherants of various faiths seem to reach further and further back to their pasts - or the perceived past glory of their faiths - to try to find answers. A small percentage fall victim to extremism in the name of their faiths - often resulting in actions that, in actuality, are contradictory to the pure teachings of the faiths.
Why has God left His creation (us) so completely alone in the dross of this world that we have created for ourselves? Why hasn't He saved us from ourselves?
The Baha'i Faith may have the answers to those questions.
Never heard of the Baha'i Faith before? Join me Wednesday evenings at 6:30 to 8 PM at Panera Bread restaurant on Rt. 20 near the I-75 overpass in Perrysburg, OH to find out about this new world religion. I say "world" because there are about 6 million Baha'is spread out all over the globe, from Perrysburg, Ohio to China, to the Yukon, India, - in fact, Baha'is are located in over 200 nations and territories on earth.
Come and find out about the claims of the two (2) founding Prophets of the Faith: their claim to be the Promised Ones of all the major faiths of God.
You may wish to check out these websites:
www.bahai.us ; www.bahai.org ; http://reference.bahai.org
Please come for a very informal discussion to answer any questions you may have about the Baha'i Faith. Note: it is prohibited in the Baha'i Faith for Baha'is to "proselytize" (meaning, "chasing" people to get them to "convert"). The only way you should convert to the Baha'i Faith is if you truly and independently decide to do so. Therefore, no reason to fear learning about something new -- you are the captain of your own spiritual ship.
Another basic tenet of the Faith is the requirement for each individual to do his/her own independent search for truth. This is such a foundational belief in the Faith that we do not even have a clergy.
Please join me at Panera's. Look for the "Meetup" sign on the table.

There are a lot of groups that focus on Mom and kids. I thought it would be a great idea to form a group for married and single parents. This group would be for working moms and dads. This group isn't about the kids, it's about the parents. I feel one of the biggest pitfalls of being a parent is not taking time-out for ourselves. This group would focus on kid free parent time. I would not close this group just to married working parents, but I thought forming a group that married parents could both attend would be a great concept. Single parents are welcome to join. I would like to have a group that all parents feel comfortable attending. For the single and married parents who might be a stay at home parent, does not mean that you are not a working parent !! I would like this group to provide the opportunity for parents to become friends with other parents in the area during parent only activities. I would also like to mention that occasionally I think an activity with the entire family would be a great option for our group.
We all have a big interest to stop fracking and the disposal of the waste by injecting in Ohio wells!!
According to The Economic Times, "Every day, US Oil & Gas producers bring to the surface 60 million barrels of waste water, with a salt content up to 20 times higher than sea water and laced with hazardous chemicals." This water is not recycled but is injected back into the ground. There are over 170 of these injection wells already established in Ohio, with more planned in the future. People have documented how Fracking (Hydraulic Fracturing) is causing health and water supply issues, not to mention earthquakes in areas such as Youngstown, Ohio. "Fracking" could deplete our water supply and destroy our lakes and rivers (yes, Lake Erie included) if citizens let this hydrofracturing frenzy continue its course.
Let's come up with and fair a balanced way to get our voices heard and generate ideas that serve the greater good and protects our water!!!
This group is for people who love everything Disney, from the classic animated films to the Pixar movies to the Muppets. We are looking to have movie nights, go see the newest movie in theaters and just have fun the way Mickey would want us to.
An adventure-based group with an emphasis on Christian fellowship. Primary core focus would be singles ages 35+ but others, such as childless marrieds might also find a home. Ideally this group will be a hub of activities which may include group camping at music festivals, whitewater rafting, picnics, biking events, Scripture studies, planned major and minor monthly activities, etc. Even off-the-cuff gatherings like, "Hey, anyone want to go to the Casting Crowns concert next Saturday?"
Phase 1 - group membership buildup (Spring 2012). Initial activities.
Phase 2 - group goes into full swing of various activities and gatherings (Summer 2012)
This meetup seeks to serve as a safe space for Muslim women and men who are deeply committed to their faith, but hold divergent, often perceived as 'unIslamic' convictions of how the faith is to be lived. The purpose of the group is to create opportunities for like-minded Muslims to meet and share the joys and challenges of living the faith in the 21st century while holding fast to our Five Pillars of Faith. Also, it is a space to find practical ways to increase hospitality, justice and compassion in our Ummah. This groups is open to Muslim women and men in northwest Ohio and its environs.
